Mgeu Collective Agreement 2018

Winnipeg (September 19, 2018) – Members of the Manitoba government and the General Employees Union (MGEU/NUPGE) who work in main Street Project and provide programs and services to help Winnipeg`s homeless and most vulnerable build stability in their lives ratified a new three-year collective agreement this week. Highlights of the agreement include improving vacation leave and addressing well-being in the workplace. The comparison concludes a long and often frustrating round of negotiations, made difficult by the announcement of laws on the freezing of wages and low wages of the law, with the end of wages 28, as well as by restructurings and layoffs within the agency.
