The threat of possible litigation is the elephant in space that makes an agreement on tolls effective. A savvy potential complainant may use this elephant as an advantage, as a potential accused may well lean back to not be prosecuted. In exchange for the plaintiff delaying the filing of an appeal until the expiry of the toll agreement, the defendant agrees to waive the right to use that time to calculate the expiry period of the claim.
With the statute of limitations suspended, the parties may have the necessary time to negotiate and resolve the dispute. The statute of limitations is not intended to restrict or affect a defence other than a prescription defence that [The Defendant] has, have or would have had in the absence of that agreement.
A collective agreement expires on the previous expiry date or three years after it comes into force. However, the case law on freedom of association and collective bargaining states that „the closure of a business must not, in itself, result in the termination of the obligations arising from the collective agreement, particularly with respect to compensation in the event of termination.“  Section 8. Dispute resolution. To resolve disputes that arise in collective bargaining, the parties use conciliation procedures.
After the deadline expires, the collective agreement remains in effect until the parties enter into a new collective agreement or amend or complete the existing collective agreement.

On 25 June, the Greek Foreign Ministry informed the EU and NATO that Greece, under its new name, was no longer opposed to Macedonia`s Euro-Atlantic accession. However, the next day, Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov refused to sign the agreement and threatened Macedonian Prime Minister Zaev and the government coalition MPs with a prison sentence of at least 5 years if they voted in favour of an agreement that Ivanov says places the Republic of Macedonia in a position inferior to a foreign state. „I do not accept the revision of the Constitution to change the constitutional name of the country. I do not accept any idea or suggestion that would compromise Macedonia`s national identity, the individuality of the Macedonian nation, the Macedonian language and the Macedonian model of coexistence. In the presidential elections, 534,910 citizens voted for this electoral programme. The agreement goes beyond the scope of UN Security Council Resolutions 817 (1993) and 845 (1993), because it refers to the „difference in the name of the state“ and not to the „disputes“ to which the agreement refers,“ Ivanov said, adding that „this agreement places the Republic of Macedonia in the subordination of another country, namely the Hellenic Republic. Under Article 308 of the Penal Code, „a citizen who places the Republic of Macedonia in a state of submission or dependence on another state is liable to a prison sentence of at least five years.“ The legalization of this agreement creates legal consequences that under the basis of the commission of a crime.    On 13 January 2019, Greek Defence Minister Panos Kammenos and his Independent Greeks party left the Greek government coalition because of the Prespa agreement and may have left the coalition in power without a viable majority in Parliament.  Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras then held a vote of confidence on 16 January and survived 151-148, with one MP absent. The Information Technology Agreement (ITA) is a multi-lateral agreement implemented by the World Trade Organization (WTO) and concluded in 1996 in the Ministerial Declaration on Trade in It-Tech Products, which came into force on 1 July 1997. As of July 2015, it had 80 participants, or about 97% of the world`s trade in COMPUTER products. Under the Information Technology Agreement, commonly known as ITA, participants removed all import duties on a wide range of computer products.
In October 2008, Mudie was charged with sexual discrimination against a firefighter, according to city records. A Tacoma firefighter, who is the president of the Local 31 firefighters` union, was suspended for 30 days without pay after an investigation revealed that he regularly used derogatory language to describe women and those who disagreed with him. „Others said they feared that if firefighter Mudie and others were able to find out their identities, firefighter Mudie and individual supporters would campaign to beat people and make their lives uncomfortable within the department,“ the report said. Few incidents or concrete data are mentioned in the investigation report, but several interviewees referred to a 2013 trip to Colorado Springs to honor fallen firefighter Albert Nejmeh. In May, two battalion chiefs filed civil complaints against the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department in Virginia, claiming they had been punished for advocating against discrimination on the basis of sex and harassment. After the suicide of a firefighter in 2016, who was harassed and sexually assaulted on a tablet, the department was plagued by accusations of systematic sexual harassment and several complaints. The Fair Work Commission`s Full Court today issued its decision on transitional provisions for reductions in Sunday sentences and public holidays announced on 23 February 2017. The Commission has decided that Sunday sanctions will be reduced by a gradual transition of four (4) for permanent staff and a three-step transition for casual staff in the retail sector. The Commission also confirmed that take home pay orders would not be available to workers affected by the cuts and that there would be no „red circle“ or „grandfather“ of existing workers.
